Hero + Monster

Life is hungry
She hungers for Him
She consumes Him
He dies
He goes under
He is reborn

He finds Her as Monster
He slays Her
She dies
She goes under
She is reborn

The emnity
Between man
And woman
Is no problem
That need be overcome
It hurts and
It need not be undone.

It is the fiber
From which the universe
Weaves it self into Being
It is as good
And as precious
As Love.

Virgin

Might my body simply remain wild?

Untapped.
Might I be young for two more years,
Untouched,
Unused by any man.
Unseen.
Fallow.

Might my body be a place where virgin plants grow,
And tiny flowers.
Wind songs that sing for no ears.

Might I remain uncultivated
Wasted on emptiness and quietude.
While no man knows the beauty of my waist
And no man’s hands enshroud my hips
Where no man’s mouth touches my skin.

Might I be beautiful
Supple, strong, soft and ripe
Unplucked, untasted, unknown.
Unloved but lovely
Flowerng on my own.

For Jasper

My Child
One point of blue light
Descended from on high
Infusing the waters of my womb
Sapphire waters
That formed into the shape of you.
Blue child. Cool child.

How will I hold you?
Will you melt in this fiery world you’ve come to see?
Or will you simply come to me,
White blonde curls and blue eyes,
And rest your tiny hand on my flushed cheek
And gaze your cool breeze light into me?

Stay with me, my child.
My sweet child like rain in the desert summer.
My only child like ice hanging from the eaves.
My winter child, still and quiet, cool, serene.
Not melting though the world goes down in flames.
Freezing all Hells over in your gaze.

My Heart Dances

:;(:);:

Though my limbs lay still
My heart dances
Infected with that heavenly beat
Driven to match the drumming of God’s feet

Though my world is dark
My heart dances
Pushing and prodding
Expanding its light
Casting long shadows
That caress the beauty hidden in the crevices

Though it is broken
My heart dances
Dancing its pieces back in again
Filling the new cracks with gold
Bigger than before

My God
Thank you for this dancing heart
Thank you for your eternal beat
Thank you for movement, for the fall, for the beauty you infuse into all
Of your children
Of our home
Of the celestial
Of the great below
